Positive Pay is an anti-fraud system that enables a financial institution and its customers to work together to detect check fraud by identifying items presented for payments that the user did not issue. Identity thieves and fraudsters often try to create and cash counterfeit checks, and those checks could be cashed. Positive Pay users will enter information for the checks they’ve issued online through Cash Management. Checks that are presented for payment that aren’t on the customer’s list of checks entered will be rejected.
